Terms of Service

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Road Mode mobile application and website (together, the "Service") operated by Roadmode Ltd ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About the Service

Road Mode is a platform that connects learner drivers with independent driving instructors in the United Kingdom. We provide tools for lesson management, progress tracking, and instructor discovery. We are a technology platform — we do not provide driving instruction ourselves.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to create a learner account (the minimum age for a UK provisional driving licence). Instructor accounts require a valid DVSA-approved driving instructor (ADI) badge or trainee licence. Parent accounts are available to adults supervising a learner driver.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

4. Instructors

Driving instructors using the Service are independent professionals, not employees or agents of Roadmode Ltd. We do not verify the quality of instruction provided and are not responsible for the conduct, qualifications (beyond initial verification), or performance of any instructor.

Instructors are responsible for ensuring their ADI badge or trainee licence remains valid and for complying with all applicable DVSA regulations.

5. Payments

Where payments are processed through the Service, they are handled by our payment partner, Stripe. By making or receiving payments through the Service, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Lesson pricing is set by individual instructors. Roadmode Ltd does not control or set lesson prices. Any disputes about lesson quality or pricing should be resolved directly between the learner and instructor.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your qualifications
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorisation
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or spam
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service by automated means

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by Roadmode Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

Content you create within the Service (such as instructor profiles and lesson notes) remains yours. By posting content, you grant us a licence to display it as part of the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roadmode Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or free from errors. We are not liable for any loss resulting from driving lessons, test outcomes, or any interaction between users facilitated by the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, or that progress tracking data will be completely accurate.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
